The Sun shone, the wind blew and we wore flying clothes

Sunday 26th February Its windy today, perfect for standing on top of high buildings and having your clothes blown about, so I brought with me a long pink scarf to give to anyone who wanted so I could watch.

When I arrived at the Lloyds building Ben was there and he was the only one. We did a quick risk assessment by talking about some possible scenarios that could be about to play themselves out, these included security guards telling us off, and more people turning up � I�d like to know how to turn this process into numbers, I think that�s what risk analysts do. Anyway neither of these things happened. Due to the wind and the scarf I proposed we walk up the fire escape at the back of the midland bank and feel the force against our bodies. To get there we walked along a raised pavement around the back of some building but were blocked from proceeding by a relatively newly constructed wall, why is it there blocking the way? Maybe it was it was to stop climbing club, its good to think that we�re having an effect in the City. We were able to see into the window of an office it had a book on it, just one the dest was very tidy. The book is called Exclusive Analysis, Political Risk forecasting and it had a graphic on the front with a map in it, Ben reckoned it was a map of the Caucuses. We talked about how dead the city is on a weekend, and people still refer to it as the financial community! Many people know the city really well but few people have an intimate relationship with it.

At the top of Midland it wasn�t as windy as I�d hoped it would have been fun to try to take your coat off and put it back again in strong wind.

We talked about how much risk it may have been for either of us to show up to climbing club, we talked about how just being in the presence of another person involves risk and how most of us are engaged in some kind of personal low level risk analysis a lot of the time. We talked about the risk involved even in making eye contact as well as the physical risks involved with climbing buildings.

Discovered so much mechanical machinery on the roof and a quite corner where some one drinks tea and smokes fags with the magnificent view of the city all around them.
