Early dialog with UO colleagues:

The page formerly known as UOCycleRoadsters. (yes this link does seem broken)

Will it cause problems (technical or social) if I rename UOCycleRoadsters (somewhat plodding) to UORoadClub? This has the virtues of brevity and greater inclusiveness: we could ask skaters and peds too.

UORoadClub will engage with roads in a playful way. Examination and deconstruction of the formal and informal codes of road behaviour elicited will naturally follow, using the bicycle as our chief experimental tool.

But it is so inclusive that it could include automobilers too .. or is that the intent? As a cycler, with no drivers license, I would personally be more interested in something that may include skaters/peds/unicylers but not automobilers or motorcycles or other motorized traffic. Not sure how it would be phrased in the name...

it is a rare day indeed when the automobilers are absent

First problem : the UO wiki does not allow pages to be renamed. You can create new pages to replace the old, but I don't think you can actually remove the old pages easily.

The system runs on one of Sauls servers, I think he may be able to do a backup at system level.

Do the retired pages have to be linked to from another page? It seems not. Cool. Editing in progress...
