... Related to this is Irremediable the mailing-list I've formed with 3 other french people

We met in a bar because of the TemporaryTrepidation we had felt on a very temporary mailing-list also anyway, we realized that WeAllDisagreed about WhatToDoNext but still wanted to do something together (or NotLeaveTheBarUntilSomeDecisionWasMade) so I came up with the concept of a ml where we would have discussions thru images only, no text, and my hope was that we could have arguments, flames even, with ImagesOnly

also i was very impressed by ABookIRead recently by this guy GeorgesDidiHuberman not this book but another one called "images malgre tout" (link to an english summary) This book begins with a small text which seeks to InterpretOrStudy, 4 photographs made in a german execution camp by members of the sonderkommando, the text itself is not his best I think but what blew me away was the ensuing controversy and the other texts he added as answers and deconstruction of the controversy; this controversy came from people, among them Claude Lanzmann director of the film "shoah", which maintained vehemently that CommentingImages of that event was in itself revisionist and a denial of the existence of the event (although this is a summary their point is _that outrageaous, well, outrageous to me) it is sometimes even grotesque, at some point Lanzmann says that if he one day found a film that would have been shot inside of a gas chamber while people were being killed (for him this is the only "truth" of the "shoah", that very moment) he would destroy that film. Georges Didi-Huberman argues otherwise in a way that was very convinving to me here are three of those images

the one that is missing, interestingly is one of TheSkyAndTrees which the desperate inmate took perhaps because of his extremely dangerous position ...

also I have been thinking that, here, on the internet, ThereIsNoTextThereAreOnlyImages, even what you are reading now is foremost perceived as an image and must be interpreted also as such, which in turn leads to an important question to tackle that of WhenDoesTextOnAnImageStopsItFromBeingAnImageAndBeginsToMakeItText ?
