[edit] New Language Development Network

We hope to develop a series of multi-lingual projects that will, to begin with, start with urdu language.

Along with the development of an urdu wiki, setting up an urdu DLP is the first project as part of the New Language Development Network.

We will be hosting an event in Islamabad to start this networking process with programmers, universities, libraries, writers, journalists, NGOs and other interested parties.

The next stage in the development is to export RDF data (see TheFreemasonsOfTheFuture ). This will be acompanied with production of urdu XML.

[edit] DLP

The DistributedLibraryProject is a piece of software that is being developed to create a new, open and dynamic cataloguing system. The software was made to catalogue and share books in a community. Since 2003 many small libraries have started using this (and related) pieces of software to catalogue their books and provide their communities with a system for sharing, lending and reviewing their collections of books, videos and music. There are now over 20 Distributed Library Project servers around the world. The next stage of development will be to create a server based in Islamabad for the urdu archives.
