Inaugural Symposium

The original plan was to meet before lunch on the 2nd of January, to give us plenty of time to work through a substantial agenda of Faculty discussion and planning. But as Faculty members are based across England it was felt important to find a point roughly equidistant between loci, which meant the Symposium took place in the middle of nowhere . Hence considerable time was spent trying to find somewhere in the wilds on a Sunday post-New-Year double holiday that sold things we could eat.
Eventually we found Purveyor Of Pies And Strange Fruit Juice, after which everything was fine.
