[edit] Hands Up | Why

• SaulAlbert. I'm ambivalent, and would prefer to make this wiki into an archive, with links to new uowiki things, but still find it really useful for archiving, and documenting research in progress that doesn't fit in elsewhere.. I still love the uo wiki, even though it's seems kind of awkward and flailing these days, and the idea of not being able to edit anonymously does undermine my hand being up a bit.

• DerekLewis. I have benefited lots from the existence of the Uo wiki. It helped me to sketch out the core ideas of some areas I am researching. It also has allowed me to watch other people's ideas develop. Some of the contributions I have found strange but entertaining.

Sure, there have been difficulties but regardless of what happens next, I think it has been a great success. Other community resources I have been using have had similar near death experiences. Fortunately they recovered.

• UncleFester. Unfortunately work has got in the way lately. However I have just called in having emailed a link to Uo to Country X. Granted, the spam is an irritation but it is in keeping with WabiSabi that this too must pass. Unweeded gardens grow to seed but that is the nature of wiki. I have called in from time to time to weed and will continue to. I hope others will too.

• Fuckology. 1. Funix is dead 2. Carto is in a coma 3. Decol is overworked. 4. Library is recovering. I think we need to go back to 1 server - not this but theps.net, and consolidate power/ self-defence against spam etc, and call a meeting for 1 months time at LHTH to discuss the ways forward face to face. evol drat c6.org
