[edit] About the Meme Zoo
The Meme Zoo houses specimens of memes submitted by Faculty Members. The Faculty intends to initiate this project with collections of Dirty and Political Jokes. Further collections will be established as appropriate. In order to encourage best practice in the documenting of specimens, the Faculty is drawing up guidelines for the submission of specimens to the Zoo. All Members are encouraged to submit specimens in accordance with these guidelines whenever they encounter an example of an interesting meme. Please read the FacultyMemeticsZooSpecimenGuidelines for more information.
[edit] Taxonomy
One of the activities of the Meme Zoo is the ongoing development of a taxonomy of memes. The major drive behind this is a practical need to group memes in such a way as to provide a useful framework for their study. The Faculty hopes to develop strong cross-faculty ties within the Uo and hereby solicits input from FacultyTaxonomy on this project. We would be grateful for the benefit of our sister institution's expertise.
