CCNoderunnerLondon
From UoWiki
[noderunner ] is the NYC-based wireless game; a race to connect to and photograph the most wireless nodes between two points.
the [rules for noderunner london] are a little different from the original; that site will include [register your noderunner team], and get a logon to upload pictures during the game; you'll be able to do this at any point up to and during the start at 6.30 on Thurs May 15th.

noderunner london will be held on May 15th as part of the CC's 'Collaborative Mapping Week'. It will start at 6.30 between Exits 3 and 4 of Old Street Roundabout (at street level) and proceed roughly round the City and down the hackney-limehouse backbone to end at Limehouse Town Hall at 9:00pm, where the winners will receive a small prize and everyone proceed to drinks.
from the [consume node map] it's apparent that coverage in hackney is dense, but there's a blank stretch coming up to limehouse (the [twenteenth node]). there is funding going round for the backbone development; can anybody fill in on what is likely to happen soon?
in the [etcon]-derived spirit of hypercollaboration, the noderunner backend software will feed into the [mudlondon] semantic web model of london, and a visualisation of that be available on the open-source mapping interface at [maps.nocat.net ]
noderunner london will thus, as well as being fun, form a practical demonstration of the software on display at, and potential collaborations between members of, the collaborative mapping show'n'tell
it would be nice to have at least four teams; people can jot down likely competition entries on this wiki page.
